Our Children
Our church IS a children’s program! We are the most child-friendly church in town!
We don’t offer programs to “take care” of the children while the adults go about the serious business of worship. We have the kids in worship, where they learn at their own speed the most important thing that Christians can do for God. We believe that they absorb much more than we think they do as the rhythms of worship take root inside of them.
We have two services that are designated as “child-friendly,” the 8:50 and the Noon Kid’s Church, but families with kids come to our other services as well.
Oh yes, we also have children’s programs. On Sunday mornings at 10:30 we offer Godly Play, an interactive education program. The first week of August, we offer our super-fun Vacation Bible School.
At Christmas, the children put on a pageant retelling the story of the birth of Jesus.
At both Christmas and Easter, a children’s choir meets and rehearses for a special presentation during worship.
Almost all of our social events welcome the whole family.
