On September 14th we will begin discussing Cynthia Bourgeault’s book “Mystical Hope: Trusting in the Mercy of God.” At a time when people are yearning for good news, “Mystical Hope” invites us to find our way to the hope that does not disappoint or fail. In five interwoven meditations, “Mystical Hope” shows how to recognize this different kind of hope (a hope not based on outcomes) in our own lives, where it comes from, how to deepen it through prayer, and how to carry it into the world as a source of strength and renewal.
On September 7th we will finish our discussion of Phyllis Tickle’s book “The Great Emergence: How Christianity is Changing and Why.” “Phyllis Tickle offers a creative and provocative overview of multiple social and cultural changes in our era, their relation to previous major paradigm shifts, and their particular impact on Norht American Christianity. This is an immensely important contribution to the current conversation about new and emerging forms of Christianity in a post-modern environment–and a delight to read!” –The Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori

Tuesday Morning Craft Group
It’s not really a class, unless you need help with your particular craft- we have some very talented crafters that come to this group! We gather at 9:30 a.m. for light refreshments and talk. We conclude with prayer around 11:30 a.m. Come for all or part of the morning!
